	<TEXT>This is the Vangaard Gyre e3-A Scout Ship. This model is considered rare since it only reached a limited production of 500,000, due to bankruptcy. After Vangaard went bankrupt from lawsuits (because of the Pathfinder's shielding problem), overspending, and mismanagement, most designs were sold to a then young KDY. These plans have never seen the light of day. It is also rumored that some of the newer craft KDY is building for the Empire have incorporated some of the radical designs from Vangaard.</TEXT>

	<TEXT>As designed, the mission profile of the Gyre is the exploration of systems with heavy concentrations of asteroids. This specific function is typical of the designs of the period. (Credits ran free then, and it is said that many designs were "spice enhanced.") The result is a very maneuverable ship designed for "light" scouting duty.</TEXT>
